My piece Bradnor Hill has been on my website for a while now, but Brad Gilbert (infinite9ths) has just made a beautiful video for it and put that on YouTube:

As explained in the accompaniment to the video, I visited Mike Oldfield's old house on Bradnor Hill the day before David Bedford died, so the two experiences were very much intertwined for me at the time. The piece Bradnor Hill became music in memory of David Bedford as I composed and played it.

Yes I like it too. Meditative - calming - soothing - wise - healing - magical - hopeful...

Mike was very lucky to have had someone like David Bedford for a mentor.

That's really nice, and a fitting tribute to David. I think you've also captured something of the atmosphere on Bradnor too.  :)

I was hoping to walk on the hill myself this weekend but unfortunately didn't make it. :/

Thanks. I'm glad it seems to be coming over right.

The impression of Bradnor Hill was a late Summer one, the last day of September this year, which was unusually warm. It'll be interesting to see what it's like at different times of year. David Bedford died a day or so later.

I've been fortunate enough to have walked on Bradnor and Hergest in all seasons, but I think my favourite times on Bradnor have been in the winter, when the weather's been wild and windy. No wonder Mike chose to live there. Must have been bloody cold in that house though!

I took these vids and stills last January and early March. Sorry about my amateur attempt at making a video!!! :)

Thanks. I enjoyed that, and I think I'm going to return to it from time to time in the future.

Many thanks for your comment on my Youtube vid.

Had a quick look at your website and listened to a few of the pieces. Liked them a  lot. Some really relaxing sounds!

Enjoy your next visit (pilgrimage) to Bradnor.        :)
