I must say that L+S is a truly great work from Mike - I love it !!  (despite my initial reservations)

I have voted for Angelique because I actually think that it is one of the best short songs Mike has ever written.  When the guitar break kicks in it really flies.  I love that guitar lead so much that I've been playing it myself on my guitar non-stop for the last two weeks !!

When I get my home studio up and running I can't wait to record my own version of Angelique :o)

Light is by far more appealing to me.  The Gate is by far my favorite.  I also like Rocky very much.  But I still have not really heard the whole album.

I love "Blackbird." Dunno why, but after listening to the first CD, that's the track that stuck in my head, and it's quite a beautiful song, IMHO. ;)

On another note, "The Gate" reminds me of an old MO song that I think was done with Kevin Ayers. Can't think of the name though. LOL

Sunset for me.
It's a beautiful song and gives a superb ending to the album.

Blackbird is the best piece of L+S, followed by Resolution as second. I think Blackbird is one of the best pieces Mike ever made! That pure sound of piano is absolutely fascinating.

I'm interested by the liking of blackbird. Much as I like lots of the "Light" CD I find Blackbird a bit too much like a "you can play like Richard Clayderman in 6 easy lessons" sound. Maybe its just me....

Still utterly adore Sunset however.

I've never heard of the guy, so ignorance is bliss.

Clayderman = 70's-80's pianist, performer of EXTREMELY soapy, corny music... à la James Last, but soapier. :D

'First Steps' is amazing. Not only the best track in the album. It's a proof of Mike's ability to take a past melody and lift it up to heaven... incredible song.

...and 100% easy listening...my mum likes that thing...before boy bands were created to appeal to certain audiences,Richard Clayderman was also a creation of 2 french producers...lol...hit his name @ Google and you'll find out more about that...

I've forgotten what I voted for now, but I hope it was Sunset. Great melody.

I loved Blackbird and Rocky. It seems to me that the simplicity of his pure, unadulterated piano tunes are the best. Sunset is also a nice, soothing one to finish on. First Steps is another little lovely one, and it reminds me of the Taurus series for some reason. I can't think why.

I love Blackbird - in my opinion one of the most beautiful and intense pieces of Mike's for a long time. :)

first steps is my favourite, especially section near the end when it does that climax with the timpani drums or whatever and then mike's lead guitar comes in - perfect!
