Some sound clips for you. Of course, I couldn't be satisfied with just plain-jane samples.
The pickups on the L6-S are actually very microphonic, they will pick up clicks and pick noise and even my cursing at duff notes. On the other hand, this microphonic nature gives the guitar some wonderful resonances and interaction between string, pick and fingers. The "honk" of this guitar is all over Oldfield's albums from Incantations to Five Miles Out.

I don't have an amp, so I couldn't try and replicate that wonderful sustained feedback on First Excursion, sorry.
Incantations Part 3 (excerpt)
QE2 (excerpt)
These were all recorded with the same settings on the L6-S: Bridge pickup with the treble rolled all the way off. This guitar is way trebly.
My POD 2.0 settings were: Amp model: Brit Hi Gain '90 Marshall JCM-800 Cabinet: 4x12" '78 Marshall with stock 70 Drive: 79% Bass: 19% Mid: 87% Treble: 0% Presence: 0% Chan Vol: 89% AIR: 51% FXL Delay/Compressor Delay: 570ms Feedback: 25% Level: 29% Compressor: 3:1 Reverb: Type: Hall (Room) Decay: 75% Tone: 27% Diffusion: 60% Density: 70% Level: 24%
Enjoy!
