No, it's not Faithless. I guess it would be easier to guess if you think about a musical genre. What is a genre that sounds absolutely nothing like the clip? Name it, and you have the answer. :)

No to both. I guess my above clue was misleading. OK. A clearer one. What is a genre that normally doesn't have anything to do with keyboards and synthesizers? :) In particular, what is the name of that band who are among the best-known (and best-selling) representatives of that genre, and who sometimes made a point of using no keyboards (although they did in their very latest album) ?

One of Oliver's latest three is the good one. :)

@ nightspore & milamber: Status Quo and U2 have lots and lots of keyboards. They always had some. Even RHCP did feature some piano and some keyboards occasionally, and of course the Beatles' music is full of piano and keyboards from the very start. [Obviously "keyboards" does include piano. :D]

I knew Red Hot chili Peppers reservedly use a bit of keyboards but really believed The Beatles don't. Ignorant... I was trying to watch their first US concert on iTunes yesterday (still don't like them, I try and try again, and they sound like a joke to me, and all the female hysteria is so annoying), didn't see any keyboard, and then in my mind they'd never use any keyboard. I'm like those people who think Mike is a synthesizer guy, I guess.

Ok, it's something metal, I guess. If the name of the genre is a clue to the name of the song or band, would the song be Black Metal, by Venom?

No, it's not in the name of the song. Now I shall say no more (know what I mean? Wink wink, nudge nudge!) as I've really said too much.

Faith No More has and almost always had a permanent keyboardist in their line-up: Roddy Bottum.

@ Milamber: yes, you are right, but I'm not even attempting to guess your new one as you have yet to guess the song. :D

On second thoughts, however, I'm having a try: some countryish soundtrack stuff?

@ Sir M.: indeed Faith No More did exploit the fact that they have keyboards, more than once.

@ Olivier: "Say no more" etc. was not an allusion to the band's name, but to a Monty Python sketch. :)

Can't find it. All their live intros seem to be an approximation of Ennio Morricone. The mystery song must be a "secondary intro"... We may have to list their track one by one (lucky they are no Frank Zappa).

@ Olivier: as I said in my original post about this piece, this intro is only to be found on Metallica's official website, and it was only used during live shows. The album version of the song doesn't have that intro.
