The bells will toll on June 6th,not on the 8th...it's on the official press release  ;)

Well it all sounds good to me - but then I'm a Mike Oldfield fan.

Find it hard to actually visualise it being broadcast all over the world though, you know, it's not celebrating some major event or helping to 'feed the world.' Who's going to turn up except us -  I imagine we're 5 to 10 coach loads full.

The 8th June is a Monday, so I'll be at work unless I book an annual leave day :)

I'll be at home. Most likely I've just had dinner by then, so perhaps I'm doing the dishes or putting on a kettle.
In my world every day is a Mike Oldfield day.

;) As Tati said this will be on 6th not on 8th , so a saturday . Maybe you could go to listen the bells in London .

Humm ? I'm asking to me if i'm not going to go in Paris just for the pleasure of listening the bells ringing ... and record them too , of course  :)

Edit to sing: Saturday Saturday Satur-day, Saturday Saturday Satur-day, Saturday Saturday Satur-day Night's Alright!

Gee Deb, I just dunno. I think I'll be off from work. Trouble is, MO is not important in my neck of the woods, boo hoo. It's Texas USA for cripes sake.....I've had a hard 30 years finding freinds who like him(most in college in the mid '80s. Most musically inclined.) In the 21st century.....forget it. It's rap, country or metal. I don't want to be here any more than you want to read this post. But transplanting me to Europe is too late. This is my hell, my fate. For those of you from out-of-town, Austin may be the South by Southwest music capital where people all over the world come to promote their music, but living here sucks....this is Jaurez Mexico. Good luck with the once-a-year South by Southwest visits tho...6th street(if thats all you'll see) is fun.

I might hop and skip across the pond for the event--haven't decided yet; otherwise, I'll be home...baking tubular bells cookies, drinking a Guinness, listening to TB.

No, we don't...and it seems to me like they're still working on the plan.

They may surprise us and come up with something huge, but I wouldn't bank on it. We'll most likely suggest a place for people to meet up, once we have some better information on where things will be taking place, but I'd not recommend travelling a long way to see it.

If anyone wants to travel to London anyway, by all means go ahead and book something, but come expecting a nice holiday in London rather than a big (or even a small!) Mike Oldfield event. Some of us from the tubular.net team will probably be around to meet up with people for drinks, but we really don't want to make any firm promises about what's going to happen until we've got some more hard information...which may not come until the last minute. Obviously we're trying to get information sooner rather than later (the ideal being properly consulted about plans so we can make sure there's a decent fan involvement element in there), but we'll just have to wait and see what actually comes.

I will take my kids, travel to the nearest "bell-event", find a place to sit comfortably and then I´m gonna smack the kids in the ass in sync with the bells  :D

ohhh...I forgot. I don´t even have kids..
