I am a new member on this stuff but also
I listen Mike for a long time. I know one
of his best bubble is that his songs have
very confused basic. I like that. I mean
on Amarok, Tubular Bells, Ommadawn...
Especially Amarok, but last few albums are
considering me. He's songs are becoming
more simple then he is as a person ( heh ).
I'm telling that Tubular Bells 3, Guitars and
atlast Millenium Bell don't have the same
basic as his first albums.

What he tried to do is great and he made it
very fine but I'm just worring if he goes too
much on that side. I mean, we all like Mike because he's diffrent from the others and thats because I've just wrote.
Keep on going Miky, but be carefull with your
style, you are altering too much , especially
in last few years.

I think it's important for an artist to change and develop his style. One reason I like Mike is that he does what he wants, if I tried making more stuff like TB and Amarok just to please his fans it would probably not turn out good. And I definately prefer his newer stuff to his 80s pop.

i agree thomas...mike is going to right direction. he moves forward and changes...after all that's what mike's all about. if you look at the music that mike has done you can see amazing development and i think better is yet to come.

I also think that many of Mike's best albums have come in the late 90's. Albums such as TSODE, Tubular Bells III and Guitars are all complex, epic and quite simply amazing. If an artist just did the same things over again, even an artist like Mike, everyone would eventually hound him to change a bit.
