I had a brainwave about the FATC speech last night

What's in the bag of secrets? The clue's in the title Far Above the Clouds - It's an oxygen tank of course, plus a set of Tubular Bells! At that altitude he'd have respiratory problems on his journey up the mountain

Then again with the line "There's still time to ride that train" he could have taken a cable car up the mountain...

I think he also brought with him a mac [an overcoat, not a computer!! :D]. After all, he was the Man in the Rain, wasn't he? :)
And of course he also had a mallet (or something) to play the Bells. :D

This:
Mike's New Look from TB III

That was shocking, for most people out there. It was the first pic I saw from Mike when I really got into his music, after the early memories of TB II live.

Hahahahaha...yeah,exactly 6 boxes and applications of superblonde from Tesco,as well as a new look in terms of clothing.

Serious,Mike Oldfield,in a clubber mode.

I never heard that being in a 'clubber mode' implied radically changing the color of your hair. Or maybe it's all-too-evident that I'm not a clubber. :p :D

Actually, the blonde was instead of this

But now he has "MotorBike Hair" (cut very short) maybe he's gone natural?

The answer is 42 - but what is the question?

Gosh,we have the same product here in Brazil, and it's the worst type of hair dye, since you've got lead on the formula, ackkkk!

The brand new style I'd say,"Motobike's Helmet Cut",and it's brown again, but dye boosted(not to show the grey haido at all...)

About Mike Oldfield clubber version meant the music(techno music as seen by Mike),not his style  ;)

Another thingie from the Bag of Secrets - Mike had returned to live concerts after a 5-year gap!

I can tell you what wasn't in the bag of secrets - some decent ideas for the album. ;)

Well I think inside the bag of secrets he'd keep a spare motorcycle key, or possibly another bag of secrets....

... and inside that bag of secrets there'd be.... :D

"Life is like a baig of secrets - ya never know what ure gonna geet"

I think I've come to the conclusion that the FATC speech is just plain babble. An offshoot of Mike's not so good lyric writing capabilities. Still a good cryptic quotation to put on a TB3 poster!

According to one of his interviews the 'secrets' refer to the knack of making dance music.

But in FATC, IMHO the aim of the lyrics is to sum up the titles on the albums -> the experiments of his life in Ibiza and a reference that he is himself (the creator of Tubular Bells) again.
