Came across this little quiz on BBCs website earlier which I found fun.

According to my answers, I'm a "Musical Thinker" !

Musical thinkers:
  • Tend to think in sounds, and may also think in rhythms and melodies
  • Are sensitive to the sounds and rhythms of words as well as their meanings.
  • Feel a strong connection between music and emotions
Other Musical Thinkers include Mozart, John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix

Hmmmm, not sure I identify myself with much of that, maybe the bit about "feels strong connection between music and emotions" but then who doesn't!

I think therefore I am.

My result...

Intrapersonal thinkers:

-Spend a lot of time thinking about and trying to understand themselves

-Reflect on their thoughts and moods, and work to improve them

-You understand how your behaviour affects your relationships with others

Don't think too much kids. Elvis knew that well. Just put on an Elvis record and let your brainwaves go flat. Well, not as flat as his are now, that would not be good. Just kind of "Ease 'em on down a notch". I've discovered prog-rock makes you think too much. Gotta rock now and then. My 2 pesos worth. Have some fun.

My result:

Logical-Mathematical thinkers:

* Like to understand patterns and relationships between objects or actions
* Try to understand the world in terms of causes and effects
* Are good at thinking critically, and solving problems creatively

Other Logical-Mathematical Thinkers include
Isaac Newton, Archimedes, Albert Einstein

I understand why I had this result, but what I don't get is that I hate mathematics. Maybe I like thinking this "way", but I always hated Maths.

A musical thinker. Anything else would have surprised me.

Well of course if they keep giving playing music or listening to music as an option, I'm bound to end up being a Musical Thinker.  I'm not convinced.

Also the job options seem to be fairly limited!   :/

I took that test a week ago and I got musical thinker too. Everything was quite surprisingly spot-on, except for the part of linking sounds and emotions, which is pretty much the exact opposite of what I think. I'm very often toying around with rhythms and sounds in my head, with objects around me, finding music in random things, striking metal poles and fire extinguishers to hear the notes, humming in bathrooms to find ressonant frequencies, making rhythms with vocal noises and so on. Even though I study computer science and work as a computer programmer, I rarely think like a scientist or an engineer; I'm not as fond of mathematics and logic as I'm fond of art and aesthetics.

Wiga, I thought for a moment you said you enjoy singing for a lark, not like a lark!  :D

AAAAAArgh! Sorry about that. I'm sure this is all in good fun, but has absolutely nothing to do with psychology. I've done these before, they say I'm a great lover and artistic personality. Wohoo!
