I love Mike's first three albums, but to me it sounds like Mike spent much more time on the a-sides than the b-sides. TB part 1 has many more themes, and is like one long piece of music. Part 2 is more like five tunes linked together. HR and Ommadawn repeats this formula. I like both "Caveman" and "Thunderstorm", but I think both pieces sound a bit out of place in their respective musical context.
(and to answer the question: I like TB part 1 better than part 2, event I love both)
