It is a brilliant Single,
there are two versions available:
the single and the Maxi-version.
Very much fans love PITD, AMAROKers and
"Get-to-france"-ers. it is hard to get on CD
but when you search it, you will find it!
just e-mail me!

If you can get hold of 'The Wind Chimes' video, Pictures in the Dark is on there. I believe Mike created it as a video single (The Wind Chimes being a video album), although there was a 7" single released as well.

Hello.

"Pictures in the dark" was a single between "Discovery" and "Islands" (moreless the same time of "The Killing Fields"), and it was the first song with the voice of Anita Hegerland.

If I can exactly remember, the only way to have "Pictures on the dark" on CD is to find a rare copy of "The complete Mike Oldfield"; in some case, instead of "Mistake", there is "Pictures on the dark". My copy has "Mistake", and I don't know how to find the other version of the CD.

Bye,

Andrea

Umm, PITD was also released on a rather german compilation CD with other 'party hits'. It is track #6, the Maxiversion of PITD.
The CD is called:

COMPILATION EAMS ELF (Die Partyrenner)

[ELF means 11 like eleven ... :-) ]

Didn't this single also feature young Aled Jones? Or am I getting confused with another single? I seem to remember Aled Jones and Sarah Brightman working together on a single with MO in the early 80s...
