Has Anyone ever used Vocaloid by Yamaha? I believe MO used it on 'Light & Shade'

Well I bought Vocaloid Prima... spent a few minutes on it last night.. .and wrote some lyrics to Rainbows In The Dark...

I'm having problems loading it into Sonar so can on;y run this as a stand alone app at the moment...

;) Hi Martin !

Do you think vocaloid is useable in vst mod ? i don't know myself !

also not sure about that as i don't know sonar but try in Rewire ! Look in sonar if you see vocaloid in rewire ! Or in standalone maybe you could record your track in vocaloid and then export the wav in sonar .

Like what you did ..work again Martin !  ;)

but the thing I like about Vocaloid is that you can write your lyrics and he or she will sing it. OK, it's a bit cheesy but not bad if you don't want to sing yourself or find a vocalist...

Just spotted this thread...

So when Mike used a Vocaloid for Light+Shade he would have just written the lyrics - and not recorded a voice.

So he must have written the lyrics to "Resolution" then. Still can't tell for sure what all those lyrics are - but he must have known -

This is "Resolution" btw - the only one I could find - and would you believe it's embedded!

:D

It would be nice to have a Vocaloid service here for members!
Where you request a line - for special occasions.

:) Resolution is one of my favouritein Light and shade ..there's no much in this album ..

When Myriam is singing his AHHHHs solo i'm sure vocaloid is commanded by the guitar of Mike like when he's commande the sound of Saxo in Tres Lunas ...

:) It was made with a talkbox in my sequencer , no vocaloid there .
But did you noticed it's not realistic when she says "Englishman" , it's too fast ; with this solution you have to rework all the recorded voices part into an audio editor to find the right lenght and speed .

I guess in Vocaloid it's more easy .

For my track M42 there's a part sung with my solution , i've spent a lot of time to adjust and find the right speed for the wavs voices . a lot of time and it's not even as good as what i wanted to obtain !
