larstangmark Group: Members Posts: 1764 Joined: Mar. 2005 Posted: April 27 2010, 08:33 What instrument is it? A pipe of some sorts I guess. The liner notes does not mention any pipes, just woodwind. So, does anyone know what instrument plays the "main melody" on part 1 after the glockenspiel comes in? And who plays the instrument? It could have also been played by his brother Terry, who worked with him on the album. Terry played the flute in the famous live performance of Tubular Bells at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, London.
