Well, you've got to remember that at some point, in the not so likely future you may do an about face on Mr. Oldfield and ditch him for someone more... contemporary perhaps, like Avril Lavigne.

I mention this as just a mere slight possibility :)

A very very very slight possibility I would say... :D
But I might just start heavily liking Mariah Carey or Celine Dion as well, so good advice to wait... ;)

ps; show us a picture of your Mickey Mouse tattoo, please, arron  ;)

No...there are others...well, tubular tattoos in general. At Wembley in 99, saw one guy with one on his arm, then sat next to a woman with one on her back--they are friends--and he's around here someplace in one of the Oldfield communities (unless you're him and have a new nickname) . :D

For years I have been thinking of getting a small one on either my ankle or back, but it's never gone beyond the thinking phase. Maybe next year.....

I have a lot of tattoos; I'd say about 25% of my skin is covered with tattoos. I have a huge tribal phoenix covering all my back, for instance. Apart from the phoenix I am very careful about patterns/symbols I choose because it's very easy to change your opinion about something 180 degrees. For instance, I used to be a HUGE fan of Pet Shop Boys and now I still quite like them, but hardly ever listen to them; I would feel very uncomfortable with, say, "PET SHOP BOYS TATTOO" in Helvetica Medium, which I wanted to do five years ago. So before you do it, think about it. Then think about it. Then give it some thought. Then think about it. Then let the idea rest for a while. And if you still want a tubular tattoo, think about it some more and only then get it done.

I'd like to get the cover of Tubular Bells tattooed on my  shoulder area ;) , I thought of having it about the size of the CD cover. I don't know how much it would cost though   :/ .

The pain factor doesn't really worry me much, as I have another tattoo, there's a bit of a story behind this. About 9-15 years ago myself Tim and friends would drink in "The Horn Of Plenty" in St Albans, a pub run by/ frequented by bikers. One `day in 1995 they had a charity bike show on, the local tattoo studio were there.    Four or  Five pints or so of Addlestones Scrumpy, the real stuff not this fizzy crap, I decided to get a tattoo done. I did think about getting a tattoo before, but had always "wimped out".  So I ended up with a little devil smoking a spliff on my upper arm. The tattooist said I was her least nervous customer in terms of being a tattoo virgin.   It didn't hurt as much as I thought it would     :) .

Well, no proper tattoo artist will mark you while you're drunk, so if any says he/she will, run like hell :P

Are you even old enough to drink?  I  saw your photo and you looked very young (at least to an old fart like me)   ;)

Yeah, I get in trouble all the time when bartenders won't serve me because they think I'm too young! But I'm old enough luckily!

Providing children are legaly of age to have a tattoo, peircing, ect my own personal view is to first point out the downsides(in all their full velocity),give fair time to think from all angles & then if after all this they are still wanting,it's their body and not mine to own,and much as I may not like/approve then as long as they're happy, content, confident with themselves - will be around to catch them if they fall, but let them pave their own way. :)

Cool I didn't know I had a brother in Holland :D  :)

BTW I would't do the bell from tubular but the Airbon "bell".

I'd go for the silver bell of TB1  :)
(or the full lyrics to Theme from Hiawatha Incantations part2, but I think my shoulder may not be big enough)  ;)  :p

But, Groovy Granny's right... shouldn't do it too soon :)
I'm a sensible person, am I!  :D ...usually...
