Tubular Tos

La mer est tres BELLE realistique! :)

;) What do you want to say ? La mer est belle ? or la mer est realistique ?

You can't say la mer est belle realistique but you can say la mer est joliment realistqiue .
I guess that's what you meant : The sea is nicely realistic ! Because you wrote : the sea is nice realistic ! you have to use "joliment" for nicely !

Second French course soon tomorrow !

:D  :D

A hard choice , but the second one for me.
The two hands has a protection feeling the second looks to me like presenting a gift
Bravo TT :)

:) Thanks TT.

I want to say; La Mer est joliment realistique.

But I wanted to say more than 'nice'. I like the word belle. I thought it meant beautiful. And it sounds like bell as in Tubular Bell.

A bell in the hand is worth a belle in the bush. :D

I thought "Floating Rose" referred to the rose in TL, but I see it doesn't. However, the beginning reminds me of the bird cave from Maestro. And what Oldfield melody is the tune a variation of? I can't quite place it.

Sorry, I missed this.
It's an original piece, not a variation of any Oldfield melodies. :)

On a personal scale,I actually preferred the original one,but this one is obviously more Arthurian. On the other hand, the Tubular bell is much less noticeable in it, and I'm not keen on the mixture of warm and cool colours (that red near the hills). But it's still an excellent picture.

This is my favourite, but I've got a thing for tropical seas anyway. Most of Mr O's music has tropical associations for me, since I played a lot of it in north Queensland (particularly the chant in Taurus 2, which makes me think of Cairns at night, for some reason).

This is my second choice, and in my opinion is the one to go for if you want to connote a lake rather than a tropical sea. In some of the other versions the eye is drawn away from the Tubular Bell and towards Glastonbuy Tor.

I think I prefer the tropical. It has a warm light feel about it - with hands playfully playing in the water.

The darker waters have a sinister feel, and the hands don't look so playful - could be the hands of a ghost or a drowning man.
