Hi everybody!

This is my first post here (as you might see). This looks like a nice forum since I am a fan of Oldfield. =)

My first question here is about the tubular bells LP picture disc. I got it from a ebay-ish site for like 4$ and I am wondering if it is rare?

/Tobias

It isn't...

It is often on Ebay and sometimes very cheap!

Its possible to find rares for cheap in ebay also if youre lucky...i got my best deal few months ago when i found Voyager advance promo cd for 2 usd with "buy it now" option.

It was just added when i was browsing so it was lucky search...same cd sold to 150usd or so in normal auction right after that.

Okay. Thanks for the replies.

Too bad it wasn't rare, that would have been fun. Howerver it was still a nice buy since I was looking for a tubular bells LP and it wasn't expensive.^^

Btw, what is the strange sawing noises at the end of part II?

It's been documented that those sounds are MO's model plane.  He evidently stuck that in at the end to supposedly show off the gimmick of the pic disc being the quad mix.  Does the pic disc have "The Drunken Hornpipe" or the regular version?

@ Bassman: I've got the pic disc too. It's the regular Hornpipe at the end, followed by a whirr (rather than a sawing noise). And yes, it's the quad mix. And no, it's not rare. I got it some time ago from EIL... 8 Euros. :D

Lucky bums.  The pic disc TB was one of those millions of examples of something I had in my hands many times way back when, but walked away from on a whim.  It may not be that rare where any of you are, but it's pretty rare here.
