I found it quite nice.

An apt description, I think. Not in the same league as the TL mixes.

I like it,but it's not Mike's best album at all.I do like some tunes like Landfall and the title track, the result the album is better than normal chillout CDs out there(IMO).As we know,TL wasn't born like a real CD but as the soundtrack for MVR 1st Episode.

A good album, but not his best by a long shot, i like a lot of the music, but there are far better MO tracks out there, depends on the mood you are in a supose, i'd class this as a great easy listening album, but if i was in that mood i'd choose TSODE any day, my fave MO album ever, and the ambience is just, well, perfect IMO, i think that tres lunas is very good at what it was designed for, and thats to go with the game, as a stand alone album i feel that some of the best tracks were omitted and left for the game, but thanks to Brandon we got to hear them anyway!  ;)

Yes that's the whole lot. (I must say that after a few listenings I edited my version by fading it out before the scratched record starts. Nice joke initially, but wears thin quickly! )

I'd forgotten this was a poll, and just looked at the figures. Wow. Tr3s Lunas only needs another 86 votes to win. A close-run thing, as the Duke of Wellington would say.....

Nice album, but ruined by that appalling "To Be Free" garbage.  I bought the album, but I only listen to my burned copy which doesn't have that song on it.

One man's garbage is another man's treasure of course.

(sideline: If you can quote the source I got that from, I will shake your hand!;)

Each to their own basically - I've said it afore. I also know that I'd much rather hear almost anything Mike's done over almost anything considered 'good music' these days.

All this and I'm only 20. Such synicism. :)

From what I have heard it sounds great, my kind of music when I want to just relax of course but I haven't purchased it yet, the main reason being I want to explore Platinum, Incantations and Amarok before I do so, glad that its a good album though and that Mike hasn't lost it like Jarre!  ;)

Listen again. I've done this so many times before with his albums... I really couldn't get Ommadawn at first, and my head screamed WHAT??? every time I heard it, (I was on my 11th or 12th attempt by this time) but now I recognise it for the wonderful composition that I believe it to be.

For me it was 3 listens for Ommadawn, 2 for Amarok and 4 for Hergest Ridge.

Tubular bells, well I had been listening to that for years as an infant but never appreciated it at that age, so that was in fact the album that I found hardest to 'get in to' if I'm being literal about it.

Why? Is it so hard to believe that some people actually like this album?

As time goes by, I find myself loving it more, not less.

Looking at the current state of the poll ... 110 say no; 7 say yes. We only need another 104 'yes' votes and we're home and dry. One last push?

I like it more and more as well! And L&S is even better!
To Be Free remains horrible though
