Well, I have so many things to say:
First of all, I think that if you get 2 or more choices of the same group or artist in yout top 20 list, it demonstrates a lack of general music culture.
A well balanced top 20 should contain more than one music style, showing that you have an open mind!
I look at your choices and I was amazed: let's be serious: it's your top 20 albums!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can understand some of the pityful choices, if you only know 50 records!!!!!!!
Please, guys, enhance your musical culture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Despite of that, I recognize that some guys here have happily surprising choices:
moonmadness by camel One size fits all (Frank Zappa) 1492 (Vangelis) Underwater Sunlight - Tangerine Dream Dire Straits- Love Over Gold Jon and Vangelis- The Friends of Mr Cairo Surfing with the Alien (Joe Satriani) Loreena McKennitt-The book of secrets The Seventh House - IQ More Than Meets the Eye - Jadis Not of this World - Pendragon Script for a Jester's Tear - Marillion Stardust We Are - The Flower Kings The Sky Moves Sideways - Porcupine Tree Day for Night - Spocks Beard Six wives of Henry VIII – Rick Wakeman Alan Parsons Project... It was extremely hard, sometimes, inside an artist work, to decide what's his best album:
For instance, Van Halen: 1984 or the first one? Marillion: clutching at straws or misplaced childhood? Rush: moving pictures, signals or hemispheres? Tangerine dream: Pergamon, Tangram, white eagle, force majeure, Logos or underwater sunlight? Yes: fragile, relayer, going for the 1 or close to the edge? Genesis: Selling, Foxtrot, trick of tail, trespass or the lamb? pink floyd: wish, wall, animals or dark? pat metheny: secret story, wichita falls? renaissance: scheherazade, ashes, song for all, novella turn of card or prologue? Frank Zappa: studio tan , orchestral fav, sleep dirt, tinsel town, ship arriving, hot rats, waka, one size, apostrophe or roxy? Vangelis: 1492, Mask, cairo, antarctica or chariots of fire? IQ: seventh house, ever, tales from lush, wake or subterranea? I must admit this group has made only excellent albums!! Rick Wakeman (I think it was the hardest one): king arthur, Henry 8, criminal, earthly connexion, journey? mmmmmmmmhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CaMEL: snow goose or moonmadness? Alan parson: I robot, mystery or pyramid?
I think my post is complete! I expect tons of comments!
