I was listening to "Live At Viareggio" last night(top quality performance BTW although Simon Phillips drumming is sometimes a little over the top)and it struck me that there is a real lack of official live stuff available.
There must be tons of good quality stuff in the vaults. What would people like to see on a hypothetical live boxset?
I'd like to see:
Taurus1
Taurus2(full version)
Crises
Ommadawn part 1 (from 81 or 82)

Don't forget the performance of Ommadawn part 1 (abridged) from Wembley '83. It sounds absolutely amazing! I haven't heard another performance of it yet which has the same big rock sound.

there should also be a lot more DVD's of his liver performances. The 2 he has released are cool but we need more. EG. Exposed, viaregio, then and now, knebworth, etc etc etc.

Also The Wind Chimes is one of my favoruite tracks,it's what got me into Mike after Tubular Bells 1,i would really like to hear The Wind Chimes live,does anyone know if it has been played live?,and i would like to hear any other track from Islands live,can anyone help?.

hmmm, depends on what u call "live".
If u also count tv-appearences in there, there are a bunch of shows Mike played in....
and - yes, even TWC Pt.1 was done once on german tv in 1987, when Mike received the "Goldene Europa".
but as all these thingies were done in playback, u won't find anything special in 'em......
