A nice mix, once it gets going!
But, it's odd how a melody played on a piano comes across with emotion and intensity. This version, although very enjoyable, makes the tune seem "throw-away", a light J-M-J poptatsic number to be heard and forgotten. Whereas the original gets played on my way to work most days and really lifts my emotions.
It happens with other tracks too. For example Tears for Fears Mad world. Great tune. But the version done on piano that was in the charts a while back was so much more emotional. And I have some Gary Numan and Depeche Mode tracks re-done by fans as piano pieces that work so much better.
Anyway MaS - keep up the good work! Don't let this fuddy-duddy stop you
