I've been puzzling as to why Mike followed the three Victory passages with one called "Reef". The only conclusion I can come to is that this part of the music is about a battle, and that "Reef" - knowing that Mike likes to play with words - sounds like "fear" backwards. The music certainly sounds like a battle, with the "hee hee hee" melody from earlier now much more strident and thrusting. And of course the Victory melody sounds like a joyous expectation of victory, with the galloping rhythm suggesting riding into battle. Perhaps the war is against marine creatures - the cover of Ommadawn certainly looks marine and kelpy  :D
