I'm trying to track down some singles to fill in the gaps in my collection and next on my 'hit list' is The Bell.

I know there's two different versions of this release, but can anyone tell me which version comes with the fancy postcards?
(And presumably the other one has a metallic cover - have I got that right?).

Thanks guys.

go on to ebay now, go into M O cd single's and the single you are looking for is actually the very first one on sale right now.

Thanks for the heads up.

But there are two versions, yes? There's another one with a metallic cover or is that one of the postcards that's with the version on eBay?

I was hoping some buff on here who's got all the single releases might be able to tell me...

The first version of The Bell CD single came in a regular CD case and its cover had the bent bell hovering over a woodland stream.  It had three postcards inside (wheat field, mountain lake and mid-town Manhattan).  It contained the Viv Stanshall version of the Bell and three remixes of Sentinel.

The second Bell CD single came in a metallic cardboard sleeve and featured the Manhattan shot again.  There were no extra inserts included in this one.  The tracks were four versions of the Bell but with different MCs, and an instrumental version.

This is the first time I've been called buff!

Ah, thanks for that! I think I got confused by the fact that the city bell shot appears with both versions (postcard on one and the main cover on the other), so thanks for clearing that up  :)

I just need to get both versions now...

I know there's two different versions of this release ...

Don´t forget about the German, the Spanish and the American version of The Bell:

Hi folks,

I'd also love to purchase The Bell CD, with the postcards - can't find it anywhere!

If anyone here has an extra mint copy they'd like to sell, please email me at tdreamer43@bellsouth.net...

I'd be incredibly grateful.
