I remember Mike saying once [I don't remember where...shame  ] that the Taurus 1-3 pieces were named after his astrological sign because he got into trouble trying to find a suitable title for the long composition on Five Miles Out...it was even more problematic than TB... ... and he thought of his sign and couldn't come up with anything better. So CK's answer no.1 is the correct one. 
PS: Sorry for putting this bit of useless trivia in here, but I felt a certain need to say something, or, as we say in Italian, to "put my own tongue in it".
