All I was able to do so far was look at the pictures and download the MP3s.
But how can I start the REAL VR stuff???
Can anyone tell which steps to follow?

Nobody replied so far. What does this mean?

1) Starting the VR is very simple. If you can't do it, Carsten, then you're a hopeless case. No use trying to explain to you. wink
2) I have no idea either.

More number 2 than number 1 wink

But what do you mean exactly? Are you trying to open the VRML files (the cactus, etc) or the RealVideo files, or do you mean something else...?

Hi Korgscrew,
what I mean exactly is:
1) Video clips: When I left-click on one, I get cryptic characters on my screen. When I right-click on one, I can download a *.rm file. (e.g. planets.rm) When I try to run that, RealPlayer says: "A General Error has ocurred".
2) VRML files: When I left-click or right-click on one, I can download a *.wrl file. (e.g. cactus.wrl) When I try to run that, I get the error message "No RealAudio or RealVideo document".
What's wrong? -Carsten-

It seems that you need a VRML player.
Download CosmoPlayer at http://www.cosmosoftware.com/

Hope that it will help you

Thanks Vinz,
yes that helped a lot. I couldn't contact that site, but I got CosmoPlayer from http://www.cai.com/cosmo/html/win95nt.htm . Now I can move around a cactus and a sprite. But there is no music ... should there? -Carsten-

I've never heard music with the cactus and the sprite...
I hope this is normal...

As far as I know, VRML doesn't support music and I believe it's perfectly normal that you don't hear anything while viewing these files.

With RealPlayer, have you installed the latest version, and if you have, have you tried installing it again, in case some essential files have gone missing or become corrupted?

My RealPlayer Version is 6.07.380 - no idea if it's the latest.

For your realvideos, you need either RealPlayer V7 with the RealVideo plugins or The RealPlayer V8, or it won't work wink

Thanks Vinz, I installed it yesterday. But I still can't play the *.rm files from Sonic VR. I get the same error message as before. I *can* play other *.rm files, however. Strange, innit?

Sorry, but if you really have the RealPlayer Version 8, correctly installed, I can't help you anymore... I thought it was enough to read all the .rm frown
