Hi all

As the new term starts here at the University of Pleaseyourself deep in the heart of the Shires, I find I'm struggling to keep up with all my lists and message boards and something, alas, has to give.

As of tomorrow I will be taking a long sabbatical from tubularnet.  I decided that since I have little intention of buying Mike's new album, it follows that this site should be one of the ones I "cut back on".

It certainly isn't a reflection of the many fine people here - Alan, Fernando, Hiawatha, Alex, Galadriel, Tracy, Holger etc etc, thanks for the debates and the laughs.  You're all fine people and I will miss you.  Apologies to the people I just missed off that list.

I will be back when things are calmer round these parts.  Till then, adieu and happy trails!

Love,

Jules
x

Now that, my friend, is a real shame. Your wit, your intelligent and knowledgeable outlook, and your general good humour and balance - these are all going to be missed in your absence, particularly by me.

I hope you find some clear space soon and come back to talk to us - we need you.

May Bob in His Wisdom be with you while you're away. Keep an eye on the horizon for two riders approaching, and if you hear the wind begin to howl, take shelter....

Thanks Alan - what about those Bob documentaries?  Incredible, eh?

Only watched the first one so far - still to watch the second.

The injected pieces of footage from 66 in particular are stunning (all I've ever seen till now is the barely watchable 'Eat The Document' ) - and the performances amazing.

And in the interviews he's almost completely articulate. That's a first!!

Best luck to you, man. And whenever you find enough free time, try to take a look around this place if you can. Your presence definitely makes a difference.

I've got a tear rolling down my cheek, sincerely. You are the funniest guy on here, Hiawatha comes in a close second but I don't understand all of his jokes. Maybe one day you will think of us and come back and say Hi, and all that other funny stuff you say.

Will miss you dearly and GOOD LUCK!

Oh and thanks for including me, meant a lot I can tell you.

Tracy.

I like your style too Jules.
We have talked, I dont know if you remember.
anyway it is not cool that you are gone.
You dont know me, but I have been lurking at your posts too and I hardly ever agree with you, still I think you are ok.
I was also thingking of leaving this site for some time, I left the place for two days. Only good reason would be to take some time alone with MOs music.

Best of luck to you, Jules. Do great work, which you will, because you have set the right priorities!
