Quote (tansy @ Aug. 29 2005, 11:00) | There are quite a few already mentioned that would have gone on my list including Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath that's an intro & a half.
Fanfare For The Common Man - ELO |
Black Sabbath - Wow really atmospheric intro. Fanfare For The Common Man- ELP ( not ELO typo error). Fantastic track ,
Since LP tracks have been creeping in, here's my favourites
Sympathy For The Devil, Street Fighting Man- The Rolling Stones The Prophets Song, Somebody To Love (also a 45rpm), Stone Cold Crazy, White Queen - Queen Since I've Been Loving You, Stairway To Heaven. When The Levee Breaks, Immigrant Song- Led Zeppelin. Comfortably Numb, Interstellar Overdrive, Time, Fat Old Sun, Atom Heart Mother- Pink Floyd. Tomorrow Never Knows - The Beatles The -Who Won't Get Fooled Again Edgar Broughton Band - Evening Over Rooftops Nothing Else Matters - Metallica The Clansman, The Angel and The Gambler (also a 45)- Irom Maiden Highway Star, Lazy- Deep Purple Parts 1 of Tubular Bells, Hergest Ridge,Ommadawn, Far Above The Clouds.
Sorry if this reads as a long list, but so many, difficult to narrow down, all great intros leading into great songs/instrumentals.
-------------- I'm going slightly mad, It finally happened, I'm slightly mad , just very slightly mad
If you feel a little glum to Hergest Ridge you should come.
I'm challenging taboos surrounding mental health
