I can´t wait with the excitement I fell about the forthcoming TB release in 2013.
This will be the 40th. anniversary and TB repack 6000th release is due out the same year.
This ultimative complete ultimative final ultimative TB release, will not only have a new 40.1 mix of the TB, 1 plectra from MO himself, photos of one of Richard Bransons buggers, a small bag of navel-lint from MO´navel, but also a small sealed plastic-container containing happy thoughts from MO to all his fans.
This edition will come in very small and unique numbers - all signed by MO himself.

If you hurry and sign up now, YOU - YES YOU!  - can be one the lucky fans who are allowed to buy one of the only 40.000.000 signed records which will be released on the 13th day, in the 13th week, in the 13th month of year 2013 at 13.13 o´clock (GMT).

Haha! Thanks for the laugh. :)

It makes me feel a bit better between all the posts of the people who are enjoying themselves with a signed copy, while some of us (including me) where too late.

hey yanouch65 did you see the 12" completely circular Shine picture disc on ebay now at £250 and the 3:17 tubular bells mix 2009 DJ single track promo that sold for £60. Surely these ultimate editions will be around £££ when they appear. :/

I'l sell you a copy that comes with a 1973 Zemantis Acoustic Bass , with the Letter MGO on the head stock and MO Kent 1973 inside the body.  A 1961 Martin (from Guitars) and a 1957 Gibson TV from Ommadawn.

But I doubt anyone could afford it....!! :D  :D

Ray

Is that the complete list, surely not only 46 buyers... :D

Of course it is'nt the complete list. People who bought a copy can add his name in the list. All buyers are welcome.

The web is very easy because it's like Wikipedia and all can edit the web and add in it.

That 12" shine was taken out of the auction 8 days early, someone must had done a dirty deal to get that on ebay. Yes people just name their own price, no shortage of people who will pay that though. Any idea how many unsigned ultimate editions have be manufactured?

easy!  May 15th (MO's birthday) + 10 days = May 25th (TB's birthday) :D

...and + 14 days = June 8th!  :p

Moreover if they had released the Ultimate Edition today, it would have been much greater than june 8th..!
they're just 2 weeks late..  :/

i was going to bid that but wait later to see if i had chance...i talked to seller and he told he decided to sell it for that because he didnt see any other bids coming that first 250 GBP one so he thought that no one else going to bid it...

whoever made starting bid, made great deal out because of stupid seller....i see sometimes its not good to wait.

I really hope I wasn't too much of a "dummy". Moving out a month ago, I went thru some big plastic bins, mostly full of photo albums, high school year books, etc. I came across a 7 inch sealed, never opened single of "Shine". I must have picked it up LONG ago and never opened it. It was bent to hell from the heat, being outside,  so I chunked it. Oh well. Probably would have been worth $1.78 on Ebay. Not even worth listing(had I kept it inside all these years).....or am I wrong? I can't see a big fan-base for the song Shine. I just kind of felt stoopid(with only 2 O's) that I did not store it properly. I usually am careful with vinyl and treat it with respect. This one got by me.

Yes Hifiguru that could have gone up towards the £1000 mark or even more I have seen the 10" cut shine picture disc sell on ebay for over £200. But we have to remember the sound quality of these picture discs are always inferior when compaired to official black vinyl copies. I think there was an oil crisis in 1973 and some early copies of tubular bells were made from inferior vinyl, later issues used classical record standard vinyl. I presume the sound is not as bad as shellac 78's. :D

The same thing might have happened with TB, but the bad vinyl copies I heard about were of 'Hergest Ridge' as written in the 'Boxed' booklet.

I think Pat above here may be right. As far as I remembered, Mike explicitly required TB to be printed on virgin vinyl - no pun intended! :D - i.e. the kind of vinyl normally used for classical records, and not from recycled vinyl. I don't remember HR being originally printed on low quality vinyl and I don't have the Boxed booklet here with me... :)

I did hear somewhere that 10,000 copies of quadrophonic ommadawn were not quad at all, not sure if that was QV2043 or QSQV2043, presume the former.

Amazon.co.uk now has an extra picture of (I guess) the 60 page booklet included in the Ultimate Edition. It states it includes a giant poster. I'm curious...

I think it is only an advert of the Ultimate...

:) the tee shirt arrived yesterday....very proudly wearing it today....

any one else got theirs?

One of my tubular tees(rotating sand) has just arrived here, pity that the vintage bell tee is on the same order with the signed box and I'll have to wait a little bit more!

Got a L tee,it did fit, even with a long sleeve tee I'm currently wearing below it since it's sooo cold in here.I was a bit worried about the size, but I feel quite confortable on it.

I am not sure that I am going to get anything. I was multitasking while I was ordering and not paying close enough attention. Somehow, the city where my credit union (and carrier of my credit card) is located got inserted into the city rather than the town where I live. Maybe I even typed it. But anyway....that's how the order was submitted and was reflected on the receipt.  I emailed a couple of times to try to change it, but it doesn't seem to have been posted to my cc anyway. Probably should have phoned. I guess it would have been too much to expect that they might email back to tell me my order was all goofed up anyway. Oh well.  Life goes on. Karma for multitasking.
