Mine's just arrived about an hour ago. VERY RELIEVED to find it is in pristine condition and is a signed and numbered edition (no. 252). :)

It's a lovely set and I'm very pleased, but I can't say I've been all that impressed with bandstores customer service. I'm not sure I'd order anything MO related from them in the future, especially if we never get to find out why some folks apparently got lucky with signed copies from Amazon.

There's poor customer service and then there's being economical with the truth in order to make more money out of the fans  :/

Sorry should have mentioned you put

www.mikeoldfield.com/bonus

into the search bar it will take you to a web page, then fill in details on screen and put disc one of ultimate in and it should let you in to see the interview.

Ah yes, I have to put in disc 1, like tubular_trekkie said.

But then I get this message:

Thanks for trying to access the microsite for Tubular Bells - Mike Oldfield.

Unfortunately due to contractual restrictions, access to this promotion is not available to residents of Netherlands.

:(  :(  :(  AAAARGGHH!!

Could you share the video with us leesonar?? Thanks!

It's apparently not available to Italians as well. :/ (It's weird, as this is Push Entertainment... it worked beautifully with David Gilmour, Green Day and PSB, why shouldn't it work with M.O.??) However, if there isn't anything in it except a video interview, I don't really care about it. It'll turn up on YouTube sooner or later. :D

For those who purchased the box outside the UK, here's a useful link:

http://www.docoja.com/blue....%3D&b=5

If it doesn't work, copy and paste
http://www.pushentertainment.com/283
into
http://www.docoja.com/blue/

It's not fair that only UK residents can access to the content of a EUROPEAN release.

Then, I've just sent an email to Bandstores asking for a refund of my 'Ultimate Edition'.

1st - It was supposed to be a promotion at the Official Store ONLY, and some copies were sold CHEAPER at Amazon.
2nd- It was supposed to be a REWARD to loyal fans who purchased it first, however, 'Ultimate Edition' can be bought CHEAPER in any other website.
3rd- Official Store price was 84€, and boxset is being sold at major record shops in Spain for 45€. That's half price considering shipping costs!!!

The only word that comes to my mind is SWINDLE.

Indeed.

I don't think they've been entirely honest about just how special and 'exclusive' this set is. And they've then used this 'exclusivity' along with 'get-it-here-first' marketing tactics to justify charging over the odds for it. Add to that high next day delivery charges (that are completely unwarranted considering how slow they've been to send them out anyway), and I think folks have a right to feel disgruntled.

Great, Mike says '500 copies'.

If all of them were supposed to be sold at official store... where do all those signed copies from Amazon come frome?

BTW, thanks for uploading the video. Mike seems happier and healthier than in Majorca.

He's looking good and perky there - nice to see him in person actually. It makes a difference, and much better than reading a narrative.

Think I will have to relent and buy this Tubular Bells remix now - sounds like he enjoyed himself making it.

Got me fired up seeing that - and I've forgiven him for forgetting to go on Webcam on Saturday!
