I think there's a reason they didn't print the lyrics in the CD booklet, isn't there? wink

So was it Mike who came up with the no-meaning words,or the singer, like Claire Torry famously did for "The Great Gig In The Sky"from "The Dark Side Of The Moon"?

On Sheba it was Mike. On Celt it was Tim Cross. ;)

I'd like to be able to memorize these 'lyrics' so I can sing along with the song, but I think it's impossible.

--------------
"I'm no physicist, but technically couldn't Mike both be with the horse and be flying through space at the same time? (On account of the earth's orbit around the Sun and all that). So it seems he never had to make the choice after all. I bet he's kicking himself now." - clotty

I don't think it's impossible - I get a fair few of them right when the song's playing and I'm singing along, making sure I'm in the house on my own so there's no one to laugh at the rest that I get horribly wrong!
I think it'd just take a rather large amount of repetitive listening, not that I have a problem with listening to MO on repeat!  :)

Ha ha! - to think I used to try and sing this!  I recently bought QE2 on CD after not hearing it for over 10 years and inavertently sang some of it again until I realised what I was doing!

My flatmate actually caught me singing it earlier.  So I sat back and waited for the barrage of sarcastic comments but she actually thought it was rather cool!
So I'm now rather chuffed with myself in a silly way!  :D

Mostly, I just really like saying "Da-Ya-Hoo, Da-Ya-Hoo". It's such a provocative phrase, bringing all sorts of intriguing things to mind, from sporty imported cars to outraged invectives.

Although it's a track with lyrics, they didn't release them with the sheet music either. Surprise surprise.

It's a great little tune, isn't it?  GREAT drum sound.  Mr. Collins, as I recall.

Given that Mike "redid" Sheba as Shiva, we can assume that the letter b and the letter v, and the littirs "i" and "e" are entirchangiavli to saed Mr O
