Some people might be interested in this, it's a ReFill for Reason (at the moment, I believe a version for Kontakt is in the works) of all the original sounds for the Fairlight II and a smattering of other sounds besides.

There's even a preset in it named "Killing Fieldy" although IMHO it's not that close to the sound from Etude, but with a little tweaking you can get there.

Lots of other very recogniseable sounds in there so if you use Reason it's well worth a look. Yes, this is a plug. No, they aren't paying me. But I have spent most of the afternoon playing with this (no work due to snow).

There's a Kontakt version on the way apparently, which should work with that free KontaktPlayer thing.

Thanks for sharing! I'm also dissapointed it is made for Reason and Kontakt only, as I work with Pro Tools. Would love to see a VST or RTAS plug-in!

Tubular Tos, at the moment it does NOT contain WAV files - it's just a ReFill file which you can only open with Reason/Record.

But you should be able to deal with the WAVs from a Kontakt version if one ever materializes.

Oooh nice find, thanks; might know people with the knowledge of turning those samples into something not just Reason can load up, will report back if it comes up.
