According to his website, acoustic guitar player Richard Durants current concerts include a "unique solo take on Mike Oldfield’s Tubular Bells played to footage of the Apollo Moon Landings".

Anyone heard him in action?

I saw him earlier this year purely 'cos the advert mentioned Tubular Bells.

Was a small show, all seated and people of a certain age! Around 100 in the auditorium.

He's a great guitarist, chats between selections.

I would definitely recommend seeing him. The TB bit was quite short, main riffs overdubbed live on stage so quite cleverly done.

Ah, did he have one of those Roland pedals where you record a short passage, you loop it & you play on top of the loop, then you make another loop and so on? :) They're cool. An Italian blues (acoustic) guitarist named Alex Britti does wonderful things with that sort of stuff.
