Ok, so I'm a million years out of date. But while I knew about Brandon Blume's delightful 'Tres Lunas 2', it had entirely escaped me that there existed another (and very different) production derived from the game called 'Return to the Origin'. Well, better late than never, and I'd just like to say thank you to 'Marcus' - whoever and wherever you are. Just been listening to it with total attention, loving every moment, and being really moved at times. What a fantastic musical journey.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. This is a great treasure.

That would be Marcus Junglas - he's a subscriber to the Amarok mailing list.

Does he use this board, do you know?

He did post here a few times at least, but he's not a regular. Return To The Origin is indeed an amazing project worthy of Mike Oldfield-hood :).

What's really interesting, Brandon, is that the two pieces - yours and his - are so distinct, even though based on the same music files. Yours became indispensable from the first time I heard it. I can tell this will be, too, but in quite a different way.

Yes, other fans' views on Oldfield's works are all indispensable and unique and irreplacable. It's quite intriguing.
