An announcement that REO Speedwagon have a computer game as part of an album promotion makes links with Mikes MusicVR project. However this sounds an entirely different beast:
"The role-player-game's plot is centred around finding the band's lead vocalist. Playing the game will lead people to find incentives such as a voucher code to receive 25% off the band's latest album, tickets to see REO Speedwagon in concert and a chance to meet members backstage"
Sound like it is more just a promotional thing to me.
I was also a bit cheesed off that the article suggests Mike made MusicVR from music on the Tres Lunas album. IT WAS THE OTHER WAY AROUND. (Sorry for shouting...)
