Maybe it could be polished up a little, but I like it.

It reminds me a lot of Phil Collins' Face Value cover.

Quote (Tati The Sentinel @ June 23 2005, 09:25)
It reminds me a lot of Phil Collins' Face Value cover.

"I can see a shadow of the moon tonight,
Oh Lord...."
"I've been waiting in the morning, since 4 AM,
Oh Lord...."
"There's a moonlight shadow in the air tonight,
Oh Lord, Oh lord.."

"Well, when you told me you were drowning.
In the river last Saturday night...
"I've seen your face before tonight.
In the middle of a desparate fight."

"Well, I was there and I saw what you did.
And she couldn't find how to push through.
Silhouette of a gun, man on the run
It's a pack of lies, it's not true...."

"And I heard six shots ringing in air tonight,
Oh lord...
And I was  far away, on the other side,
Oh lord...
And I will see you in heaven, to stay, I pray,
Oh lord, oh lord."

--------------
"In the land of the Dacotahs,
Where the Falls of Minnehaha
Flash and gleam among the oak-trees,
Laugh and leap into the valley."
- Song of Hiawatha

Now, Mike's albums, don't come easy,
but I'll keep on waiting, anticipating,
for that soft Strat, to talk to me at night,
for some tender riffs, sounding just right...

You can't hurry Mike, you'll just have to wait...

As long as you write parodies of Mike's songs, Hiawatha, it's OK, but please don't ruin one of my all-time favs. :D Your parody lyrics don't fit at all with Phil's melody.

@ a_r_schulz: your parody is a little better, but, you too, please don't touch neither Phil nor The Supremes.

[Is there any risk of this post being taken as serious? :D]
