I was wondering if anyone could tell me which sections of Amarok are included in the excerpts on the following promos:

Amarok X-Trax - UK: AMACD 1 (3:05 / 4:16 / 5:38)

Mike Oldfield Album Sampler 5 Excerpts From Amarok (3:05 / 4:16 / 3:47 / 5:18 / 5:38)

if anyone could give me roughly when they occur in Amarok, or which sections they are (going by the individual titles that Mike gave them), or point me to somewhere that this info has already been noted, it would be greatly appreciated smile
Oliver

Referring to track markings on the Amarok Player:

X-Trax:
1) Beginning of Intro (Fa So)
2) Continuing of previous section (loud stabs)
3) "mm-hm" and Climax 12 String

MO Album Sampler:
1 and 2 = same as X-Trax above.
3) Another excerpt from the Fa So Intro section. Brass stabs & Happy? onwards.
4) Happy? Happy? Happy + slightly atonal solo
5) Same as 3 above. wink

Um, I don't know anything about these promos, but surely those times mentioned are track lengths, not position markings within the album? I doubt anyone would make a promo consisting of randomly ordered segments spanning two and a half minutes of a 1-hour album wink

Of course, this begs the question - how would you choose a 3-4 minute section of Amarok which stands up by itself? I think 'Boat' (the piano section after the interlude) might, but not much else.
