In the true spirit of re-recording, we decided recently to make our own version of "Punkadiddle" and here is the final result:

To Mike we have these words:
Congratulations on your birthday and thanks for bringing your unique music to this world! :)

My this is indeed worthy of remaking-ness! Punkadiddle 2003 is quite well named! Everything is EXACTLY the same as the original just much better. Even some sounds that some people might overlook to recreate are recreated here. Especially that cool guitar at the end when it's fading and in the background doing a couple extra power chords. Now you gotta make the rest of Platinum :D.

Yeah! This rocks! This has got a more punk-feel than the original, the way it should have been. Some great electric guitars you've got there! And even the flute has got more punk-feel than the original, 'cause of the very slight 'vibration' you've got on it. Very nice!

Easily one of the most professional and accurate fan-tracks ever made.

It would be very interesting to hear how the track was made?

Please make more (especially from the underrated Platinum album)!!!!

Mmmm, sorry, I don't like it. I still think the original is better.

I just loved the synthesizer piece from Mike's original synthesizer (his analogue Roland SH-2000). On your cover it sounds too "computerized"... Don't like it.

But I love your website design!!

Really cool, but it needs that solina string synth in the background!

I should have mentioned how well the track is mixed, I think it's really, really good. If I would change anything then I would go with less vibrato on the lead synth and as someone said, that solina synth would be more than welcome.

great work.

you gave the whole thingie more power and that's not easy at a tune like this, congrats.

even the "screaming croud" in the background sounds funnier than in the original.
:)

Later,

dkay
