Now that would be funny! And Stuart Hall would be brilliant!

Anyone remember Stanley Unwin (the guy who narrated side 2 of Ogdens Nut Gone Flake by the Small Faces)? :)

Hi this is my first post so here goes!!
Some MCs I'd like to hear, in no order whatsoever!

Joe Pasquale (one slightly distorted vocal chord)

Christopher Lee, he could make "glockenspiel" sound terrifying!

Chief Wiggum, "Ah, that's good bells, Mike"

The Geordie guy who voice-overs Big Brother, "It's 8:15 peee-emmm, and the house-maytes are playing Choooob-yooo-lahhrrr bellls"

Stuart Hall, the ever exuberant guy who used to do It's a knockout. "Here come the Bell-gians"

Oh well, see what you think. Don't be too harsh, please!

 Some great suggestions there Mikey, and welcome to the forum.Stuart Hall is particularly inspired imo,he`d be absolutely perfect. His football summaries on the radio are stuff of legend of course. Both gravitas and humour, surely the two essential ingriedients...

"And here at the colloseum with a match of Titanic proportions about to take place. Will the gladitorial figurine of Owen add to his mighty goals tally"?

"What will you do when you leave football Jack? Will you stay in football?

Hey with Stuart doing the M.C. duties maybe we could have Eddie Waring taking on the caveman role?I never could understand a word that guy was saying anyway..And over to Eddie now for the Cave Rouge

Noddy Holder would be great as well though..Two slightly dstorted guitars..Can You Hear Meeeee!!!

That's unbelievable, I just remembered Stanley Unwin after I posted. I thought I'll just leave it for now and post it later!

Brilliant, seems like I might be on the right wavelength with this forum.

Oh, and how about Boris Johnson for sheer buffoonery?

Yeah he would have been great on a live performance.Throwing a wobbler and chucking half a pint of bitter over the bass player or something heh heh..Maybe we could`ve had the whole of the Carry On team up there doing a line each perhaps? So we could have had stuff like Leslie Phillips kicking us off with.."Well helloooo Grand Piano"..Or Barbera Windsor giving a little giggle after "Glockenspiel"..."Saucy".The dulcit tones of Bernard Bresslaw doing the spanish guitar section.Sid James on the "Wind & Pipe Organ...cackle cackle"And who better than Kenneth Williams to round it all off with.."Ere stop messing about it`s Tubular Bells innit".

A few more suggestions:
Ivor Cutler
The Bob Fleming character from The Fast Show.
Christopher Walken as Bruce Dickinson(I gotta fever..I gotta have more Tubular Bells)
Vic Reeves as Kinky John
Keith from The Office
Mick Channon
Kenny from South Park
Comic Book Guy(worst M.C. ever)
Navid from Still Game
Murray Walker
Sid Wadell
Jim Bowen
Jimmy Saville
The secretary from Ghostbusters
Bob Newheart

Of the list i'd go for Bob Flemming,Jim Bowen and the ultimate Jimmy Saville.
"Now then now then guys and gals we have a letter here from a young man called Michael Oldfield asking if he can record a record using.....Grand Piano...."

Stewie......Genius.And Spongebod Doing Stephen Hawkings.LMFAO!!!!!

I immediately thought of Stephen Hawking (TSODE - been there, done it, got the t-shirt) as it appears did many of you ... but Stewie Gilligan Griffin is utterly inspired :D perhaps as a duo/dialogue with Brian?

My son does an alarmingly good impersonation of Stewie  :)

If not, perhaps Mike O could re-record Family Man as "Family Guy" with the Griffins on backing vox? LOL

Yeah there are some great voices on Family Guy.Cleveland would be pretty cool if he could keep pace with it all.Or even if he could`nt I guess.Or Joe barking everything out like a drill seargent at the top of his lungs. For some reason Meg`s voice always cracks me up in that show. She`s kind of the perfect foil for Peter I think.

Mike re-recording Family Man(Guy) for a scene in the show or something would be a great idea I think.Although I dare say they`d probably rope Hall & Oates in to do it unfortunatly...Plus I don`t know if Peter would really "need" the song to get out of "that kind" of situation if you get what I mean?Apparently if you don`t move they can`t see you.

Some great ideas here.

How about Gilli Smyth, the lady singer from Gong (who uses echo and so on and breathes in what she calls `Spacewhisper,' for anyone who might not have heard her)?

Last time I suggested Gilli for an album she was quite keen to do it, but the record producer seemed to find her a bit far out. I think he thought he was quite an adventurous producer until he heard a real far out singer.

Excellent idea. She is stark raving in a Viv Stanshall kind of way so it COULD work... Bridget Bardot? anyone?
