As am I. The extras are excellent, (even Shiva is growing on me), the Platinum studio jam is a definite highlight as stated elsewhere, and it's great to hear the live interpretations of the two albums. The packaging is superb also, with the full QE2 artwork on a CD release at last and very informative booklets.

I need some help regarding the live CDs:

QE2:
I wonder if Punkadiddle is in the wrong place as on all of my bootleg recordings it is the final track

Platinum:
My BBC recording of the Wembley concert is dated to May 29th and I'm not sure if the Platinum re-release features the same concert (dated th may 28th) Actually there were 2 shows.

What do you think ?

Some spanish shops are selling the coloured vinyls!!!  :(  I complain to Universal, because they sell more expensive and no so exclusive.

Got my Deluxe Edtions! The live performances are simply AMAZING! Love the live Platinum and Incantations (fascinating performances! ) from Wembley Arena, and Taurus 1 and QE2 from the European Adventure Tour as a highlights, but both concerts are very engaging by listening to them track by track in one flow.

Platinum - Live Studio Session is amazing, however i think the North Star remix is a little too long... and not as good as i thought before, but not bad, either. Shiva is a little odd track and i just must to listen to it a few more times to get an impression - but also not a bad track.

Overall, this is an amazing stuff to have, and I think it's worth every penny it costs!

About Shiva : is this the voice of Mike nowadays, or is this a remaster/remix of an old recording ? Does anyone know ?

It's subtitled '2012 Reworking of Sheba' which suggest to me Mike's present day voice and a 2012 remix.

That's exactly what my thoughts are... But there is no mentioning of any kind to conform this in the booklet as far  as I could see...

The subtitling is is self explanatory, I suppose. That's probably why there's no further mention of it anywhere ...

Hello Yann!
YOu're right, these coloured Lp's are supposed to be exclusively available from Universal.
Do you 'think' they are, or do you 'know' they are (having ordered them from Amazon, for instance).

Because 'Exclusive' signed Lythos were also available at Amazon before..and this time, some retailers in Spain seem to propose the coloured Platinum and QE2 LP's.
I already have both and would like to order black vinyl 2012 versions of both.

Thanks!  :)

Yes, live performances are great! I'am very absorbed by the Wembley Arena concert since two days, when i get my copies, and can't move to the second concert because can't stop listen to the first! The quality of these recordings is amazing, simmilar to quality of the Exposed album.

Does anyone here have the full lyrics for Shiva? I love it! :)

(By the way, did you know that Shiva and Sheba are the same?)

Definetely sounds like his voice now in 2012. I listened last night for the first time and I think it's brilliant. Ok so he sounds slightly ropey but that's the appeal and there's more mojo in that one set of vocals than anything he's made for years and years. You can tell he's not trying too hard, he's just letting it come out and there's something in the timing that's just so right. To my ears and other faculties there's something of Kevin Ayers about this performance. It left my with a really big smile:) Thanks Mike.

I think Mike is building up a head of creative steam which is great news considering this rock project we've been hearing about.

Well, at least Mike's voice is more tuneful than Kevin Ayers' voice - IMHO. :)

Some Incantations parts from Wembley Arena (like on 3:10 or 13:35) reminds me strongly of the first albums of King Crimson because of the similar, specific sounding of saxophone :) Just wanted to share my thoughts...
