There's a bit from Taurus I that I know I've heard somewhere else. It happens at 4:16, during the part with the crazy slidey violin in the background. Has Mike used that anywhere else in his music, or has it been used in a movie or something?

That part is very similar to what, two years later, would feature in Taurus II (on FMO) as the backing melody to the Deep Deep Sound song. Also the main melody that Maggie sings in that song first appears in Taurus I in a choral form.

It´s just a brilliant costume that Mike had around those years... he´d copy some of his melodies from one record to another... very interesting.

You can appreciate that in the part almost ending of 'Conflict' there is a melody that´s repeated in a very soft form at the beginning of 'Orabidoo'...

Form me it´s just another part of a genius.

The more you listen, the more you hear. I think it was Amarok I was listening to on the way home the other night, and I heard an echo of the bass line (THE bass line) from the "talking" part of TB--the one that sneaks into FATC at the end of TB3. Listen for it on Amarok (nope, can't remember where). It sounds just a touch different, but it was there enough to be recognized.

The same thing happens in 'Platinium', just in the 'Charlestone' section, a musical phrase ends with that bass line, just before the acoustic goes on with that difficult riff, and it´s made in a kind of houmoristic way... just find out!!!
