How many recordings or mixes of Ommadawn were released in the UK in 1975?

I bought two CDs of the 1975 reissue, one on Mercury records and the other on Virgin, CV2014. But neither version matches the one I bought in 1976. On my version there is an 8 second string introduction before the main theme begins with a guitar. On the reissued versions the main theme begins immediately and is played on a mandolin.

The version I have is on a pre-recorded cassette, TCV2014, that, I purchased from a major UK High Street retailor. Does anyone know what version I have and if it has been released in a digital format.

It is not the ‘lost version’, that is at a different tempo.

Many thanks

How odd. Can't help you I'm afraid, but I'd be interested to see if anyone has the answer. A version of Ommadawn I haven't heard yet is a tantalising prospect.
