Ahead of the upcoming re-recording of "Tubular Bells" I made a "decrackled" version of Mike Oldfield's single of 1974:

Put a bit less reverb on the oboe part and that's it. ;)

Excellent. A worthy ode to that nice tune!

The only thing that bothers me is that solo at the end. Sounds a bit shabby to me. Some oddly disappeared stresses, strange rhythms... I think you can do that technically better!

Now I'm listening a second time, and it seems there's just one note bothering me: at 3'39''. Oh, and the one on 3'57'' sounds to soft.

Now I'm reading what I've written above, and now I'm ashamed on myself to be such a hair-splitter!
Seriously: it's very good. I can't find a descent negative remark!

By the way, I like the reverb!  :cool:
