Just a wee note to inform you all, that the next album by Steamprog (my Steampunk project), will be a musical adaptation of "The War in the Air" by HG Wells.  It should be available to buy from the end of Jan/early Feb 2011.

To keep up with new tracks, go to:

Progress is a really nice piece ,with some very tasty soloing on it well done.

If I could say One thing though ,What made Jeff Wayne's WOTW work so well was the slight dip in music volume (and or arrangement) whenever Burton narrated I found at times the voice was fighting the music and made it slightly hard to hear.

Not wanting to nip pick an otherwise very nicely produced piece :)

Bravo Simon much clearer  :) .

Did you do the Mix on the fly?

I had an idea but it was pretty laborious.

Have you tried  Reaper
If you like it PM me for a patch ;)

Thanks, man - I'm getting a very favourable response to the track!  We've moved up from 7 to 4 in the Reverbnation Classical Charts - thanks in part to your input!

I mix manually, as I prefer the tactile approach.  I'll have a look at Reaper, thanks.

Hey smillsoid

That sound takes me back. Back to the release of W.O.W
I think you've certainly captured a good sound and engineered it well. I like what I've heard and will be listening to the rest.
Cheers dunlooser
