Okay, I played Tres Lunas for the first time *EVER!* yesterday and I immediately recognised the theme from the first track, could sing along to it and everything. Where have I heard this before?? Has it been reused somewhere?

Resoultions from Light and shade maybe. I think they are very close together. Listen to Resolutions about 0.48  ;)  The guitar playing fit the misty!
Just like Misty, this tune goes very much over the hole song on and on.

At the very beginning the synth sound along with the bass plays a variation of the main theme of Taurus 1.

If you heard 'Light and Shade' before (or played the TresLunas game), Misty is also in parts a variation of the 'First Steps' theme.

Thanks for the replies- I did indeed hear Light and Shade first so I think that was probably it!

Always recycling himself, Mr Oldfield!

I would rather see it as a central theme of TresLunas, that re-occurs in several variations throughout the computer game, and also in Misty - just that the other variations had to wait for First Steps on Light and Shade to reach the common public.
Talking about recycling - haven't seen anyone mention the bass line in Angelique yet?
