He's used Mesa Boogie amps with a preamp to really overdrive the amp. He used them on the 'Exposed' tour along with a Fender Princeton and Fender Twin. You can see the Boogie and the Twin in the Montreau dvd. Also, there's a photo where you can see a Mk 3 Boogie in the 'Five Miles Out' album.

David Porter mentioned Mike also used a Boss Overdrive amongst other Boss Pedals, and a Boss Chorus on the 'Exposed' tour

The Mesa Boogie amp was also used in Tubular Bells 2003. I think it's a Mark II but I'm not sure.

He used a Boss CE1, but I'm not sure if he used a later version later on.

He used a Boss CE-2 Chorus as I have one of his old instruction books for it.

What pre-amp would he have used with the Mesa MK3?
