Here's a mystery (to me anyway ) which i'm hoping someone  can solve?  :)

In July 1997, Discovery Records issued a press release which stated that Virginia Astley (who was in talks with the label at the time) had worked with Mike Oldfield during the previous year (ie 1996).

Has anyone any info on this collaboration?

For those who are unfamiliar with Virginia Astley, her website can be viewed here:

I wish!!! Her album "From Gardens Where We Feel Secure" (1983) is stunning! Definately a close cousin of Mike's 70s aesthetic.

.....which is probably why Rough Trade's boss Geoff Travis hired Simon Heyworth to remaster 'From Garden...' (in 2001)for its 2003 re-issue.

The album is certainly a stunner.  :)
