What are you smoking?  Whats that growing in the field behind you?  Is there a link between these two??  :D   :D   :D

Now that you say so....there could be misunderstandings!  :O

It's a cornfield and I had just lit a marlboro. I don't do jazz tobacco!   :p

It was a lovely visit.

I'd been a bit naughty really & planned our entire holiday around the full moon on 9 August, in order that we should be in the vicinity of Hergest Ridge, but I hadn't told the family that! We started late afternoon with a visit to Hergest Croft Gardens nearby, & had a great time there, me imagining what it would be like to live that close to the Ridge, the children exploring the gardens. Having had a fabulous summer in the UK from about May onwards, August was proving to be colder, windier and with a great deal of cloud. So unfortunately the kite flying idea we'd had, didn't seem such fun. I feared losing one of the children to another hillside, it was so gusty! They kind of wanted to have a go anyway.

We did go again though the next day & it was wonderful. As we walked up the hillside, quite late in the evening I was struck by our ....( and this is going to sound really corny - but it's true!!;) moonlight shadows! It was a beautiful, magical evening & a very special moment for me to see our shadows in the silvery light in such a meaningful place. Such peacefulness. We saw a shooting star & a fighter plane flew through the valley which did make us jump. Could have stayed all night, but had to move on. Will definitely return again, one day.

One more from the Cologne concert...I wish I had the chance to meet Mike in person, but I'll have to wait a little longer...

...I'd say that at this concert in particular I felt very close to him in a way I can't describe in words  ;)

This is me, taken in 2003. I've lost weight since then though - but I'm only realising it now, looking at the picture again!!

I think that was taken around 2002/2003. I've since grown older and wider.

Bee, those are stunning shots of you and Hergest Ridge.

Thank you, Tubularman (lovely photos of you and your family, btw). It's fun to see the faces behind the text. And, hopefully, my pic will counteract any mental images of herbaceous perspiration brought on by my username.

I have Japanese and Danish ancestry.

I find 'moonchildhippy' to be one of the most evocative usernames here. It made me think back on the 'Moonshadow' comic books, which included a hippy gal and her child. A bizarre story with beautiful artwork.
