I wonder, does this picture of me in Second Life count for this thread?  ;)

Nice to see you SweetPea, just wondering are you part Chinese/Japanese??  :)  :D

I have Japanese and Danish ancestry.

I find 'moonchildhippy' to be one of the most evocative usernames here. It made me think back on the 'Moonshadow' comic books, which included a hippy gal and her child. A bizarre story with beautiful artwork.

Thank you SweetPea, yep I'm a hippy,  in that I go along with many of the hippy ideals, and my fashion style is very hippy   :)  .  Oh yes I also love looking at the Moon.  I don't have any kids though, and at nearly 36 I don't intend starting now, I'd be happy to give being a stepmum a go though  :) .

Clotty, that look is somewhat piratical. Nice!

I'm childless, too, moonchildhippy. Have lots of nephews and a niece, though.  :)

Thanks, glad you like it Sweatpea. The hair style is a good likeness to the real me. :)

Btw... with "Piratical" I think you have just invented a new word.

Of what you people call work,
So I made up my mind to go as a kind
Of piratical maid-of-all-work."

See what you've started?? Now I'm spouting Gilbert & Sullivan at you! Despite seeming odd, (and the occasional appearance of made-up words in G&S) I think "piratical" is a real word. But, even if it isn't, that won't stop me from picturing you on the high seas with other men of dark and dismal fate.

Ebony, I see that you are even prettier than expected, but what I'm really impressed with is how clean and organized your living room is!

Moonwing, that's a lovely picture. Is 'Mike' from a DVD or is that your wallpaper? And where did you get the shirt?

manintherain, everyone looks pleased there - very nice to see. From my acute deductive skills, I surmise the middle one is you. Was this taken very recently?

It was taken during the Night of the Proms Tour in Germany in December 2006.

I was near them....but not beside them!
:(

Sweetpea, you're half right - it's a screenshot from the Elements DVD put in fullscreen from PaintShopPro or some such. :)
And, er...ahem... I *cough* had that t-shirt printed in town... *hides* Hey, I can never find any Mike Oldfield related t-shirts! (and it had to be Elements, as that's the first CD (and the first DVD! ) I got :D )
I just hope Mikey doesn't mind.. ;)

Sweetpea - Thank you! *blushes*.  And to be honest, I'm quite impressed with my living room in that picture!

And to Manintherain - You actually met The Man himself?!
*is very jealous*

Yes, I did! And he was very friendly and asked us about our opinion of making a classical album. We also talked about the chinese piano man he had on the premiere of Tubular Bells II.

So this might have been one of the reasons for choosing Lang Lang this time.

;)

Wow.  He seems like he'd be a really friendly guy actually.  I'd love to meet him.  Though I'd probably end up too tongue-tied to have any sort of proper conversation!

Fantastic to see this thread active again, and with such young and attractive people too. Keep the photos coming. Love to meet you.

Hello Ebony, I use to be a fixture here but spend most of my time in You Tube now. Check out my videos under the same username. I posted about half of them in here but no one seemed interested so I stopped.

Love your enthusiasm SweetPea.

Getting busy in the whole forum again with Mikes new album coming out, the excitement builds.

This photo is of myself with my partner Michael and grand daughter Caitlin who was flowergirl at her godmothers wedding.

I'd be less concerned about the unofficiality of the t-shirt than I'd be about "Mikey". Hehe. I am envious, Moonwing, but what I'd really like is a poster. I've even been tempted to get some old LPs from eBay just so I could stick the jackets on my wall.

Your shots are always so nice, TubularBelle. How long ago was that one taken?

bugular, that's pretty good for a self-photo. Digital camera or phone-cam?

And I've just realized that it's Ebony's birthday - best wishes on your 21st! :)
