Hi,

I'm about 70% finished my next album (called "Infinity... Plus One"), and this track, Möbius, is going to be the last track on the album.

http://soundcloud.com/purplerhapsody/m-bius

It's an ambitious track with quiet solo piano sections and full blown orchestra, electric guit, and percussion sections, and some stuff in-between too.

I'd love some feedback on the mixing and mastering - neither of them are my strong points. Is there too much compression on the louder bits? Are the quiet bits too quiet? How about EQ? I've done what I think is a reasonable good pass... but advice is always helpful.

Thanks in advance,
Terry.

Well Terry, I've just spent the 8 minutes or so listening to this... and it's a f***ing masterpiece!

All the soundcloud comments says it all but to the tub net forum members please have a listen... you won't hear anything better for quite some time!

EPIC!!! :D

Favourite part - the strings: 2.30 - 2.60.

Has a John Miles "Children" atmosphere to it - at the beginning.

Hi,

Martin - Wow, thanks for the "big up". Glad you liked it.

Wiga - yup, Epic is the word. I almost gave up on this one because I couldn't get it right but persevered with some encouragement from my wife. I actually had some delay/echo on the piano in an earlier mix but removed it because it sounded too much like "Children" (did you mean Robert Miles?)... I guess the resemblance is still there though!

Thanks for listening and taking the time to comment.

Cheers,
Terry

do you mean John Miles "Music" or Robert Miles (son of John) "Children"?
