I dug out a very old tape of the london rainbow 1982 show, and want to know if anyone has a better copy or knows of web link?

Mike played 2 new songs that night, one he introduced as "leprechauns", which became in high places later, and another he introduced as a "classical Piece", which became "etude".

The reason i want a better copy is my german understanding is as bad as mikes speaking, so i can't hear what the actual title/composer is, certainly not Etude as listed on the killing fields soundtrack.

Oh, and the notes i made that night were written in a very shaky handwriting.

I can't help you get a better recording, but I can tell you that the piece which Mike called 'Étude' is a classical guitar piece by Francisco Tárrega called Recuerdos de la Alhambra.

I don't know about London 82. I've got Göteborg 82 in which Mike also plays these 2 tracks introducing the first as "a song about leprechauns". As OralcUK has said its tune was later used as the end tune of In High Places. Apart from Göteborg that as far as I know is the recording with better sound quality that includes these tracks, but I also know there's still another couple of recordings that includes them with some variations but less sound quality. If you're able to pay for them you can have a look here:
http://www.platinumwebstudio.it/mike/concert.htm

If someone finds or has got any of them, please contact me. Maybe we can trade ;) And OralcUK, if you could share this concert with us I'm sure a lot of people will thank you :)

Hook your cassette deck to your PC line in/soundcard. Make a wav file(or at least 320kbs mp3.) Put that on a rapidshare-like site. I'll see what my software can do then put it back up. I'll soon have a month off for x-mas and nuthin' better to do.....
