I just saw it (well, due to my connection, I more or less had to just listen to it while still images showed up once every 20 seconds :-). It was informative, although I wish more questions could've been answered...specifically, mine haha.
I would've given a completely different answer as to why TB1 was so influential: compared to what everyone else was doing back then, TB was a taste of something different. It was new, refershing and didn't really fit into anything that had been done in the past. Personally, I just think it's unfair that Mike is ONLY known for that one album! I mean, why couldn't Virgin have done a singles compilation instead of rehashing TB yet again?
But by far, I enjoyed the quick tour of MVR the most in that entire thing. By the time he was finished, I said, "I gotta get this!!" Too bad my comp won't handle it at the moment...*sigghh*
I enjoyed that webchat. It helped me see Mike as more of a "person" than a "music man." But next time he does this...more questions please ;-)...and maybe even a longer tour. Can't wait until I get a comp that'll handle MVR!
