However much you love everything MO you've got to admit this just isn't the sort of musical crassness you expect form him is it?

I don't really expect anything (or at least I try not to). All that matters for me about a music is whether I can listen to it with pleasure or not. And if I can, it's fine for me, if I can't, I simply won't listen to it. Of course, it can go beyond a simple "it's not bad", but I won't complain if it doesn't.

Another thing, I wouldn't say that an artist can spoil his status of being a good musician with an album that I enjoy less than others. For me, only the great works count and I'm grateful for every piece of new music that I can enjoy in any way.

Even then, I'm glad Mike seems to turn to longer instrumental works again as they are probably more likely to evoke deeper emotions for me. That said, 'Guitars' only contains short tracks but it's still the album that touches me the deepest.

awww, just a bit of the ol' English humour of Mike, me thinks. I laughed my head of with this track!

(but I also thank Mike for not including this in the album... ;)  )

Sounds like someone banging on a Cardboard Box   ...the Drum
rolls are quite nice  but not sure about the Choir... theres bits you can pick out of which are interesting and other bits you can live without..  A typical outake I guess .... Not one youd
play to a freind hoping to convert them .. Maybe if you like Gospel you might dig it !!  lol... :D

What the hell...! Mike is crazy or what? I don't see the humour in this song. I hope the great musician he is (or was) comes back...

I can see why this would be dropped from the album, but it's still nice to be able to hear to it.  I just added it to my 'Shade' mp3s here at works...thanks.

I got it ... thanks very much.

I think it's cool too, especially at around 3 minutes when you hear the high guitar playing along.
